The Aldi Emoji campaign this year focuses on blending animation and live-action to create a fun blue Aldi world where children interact with emojis.
The campaign highlights a dance choreography, developed in collaboration with TikTok choreographer Indysteps, that is designed to be easily replicated by viewers, adding an interactive and playful element to the experience.
The spot was entirely shot in a studio, allowing us to focus on the choreography and interaction between children and the emojis, while seamlessly integrating live-action elements with a stylistic and minimalistic 3D environment. One of which, a custom virtual 3D kitchen, enhanced using AI.
By using creative match cuts and whip pans, we ensured dynamic transitions between scenes, enhancing the flow and visual appeal of both the live-action and VFX elements, all while maintaining Aldi’s signature fresh and modern aesthetic.
