For McDonald’s United Arab Emirates, we created a playful, immersive world inside the McDonald’s app - where park, city, beach, and iconic Emirati landmarks merge together like congealed oil in a deep fryer.
We reimagined the artificial island The Palm as The M, reshaped the sleek lines of the Dubai Frame into the golden curves of the McDonald’s M, and - almost miraculously - left out a single camel. The result is a stylized tribute to both the historic and ultra-modern architecture and urban planning of the Emirates.
Vehicles zip through this world - and even race on Dubai’s F1 circuit - but they’re not your typical rides. These are built entirely from McDonald’s favorites: burger-wheel hybrids, fry-box bodies, and Chicken McNugget spoilers. You’d definitely get greasy fingers if you ever got behind the wheel of one of these.
Within this world, users can discover three mini-games: classic gameplay reimagined in a McDonald’s style, accessed through retro arcade-inspired elements that reflect our love for vintage gaming. There's also a virtual McDonald’s Fan Shop featuring the latest collectible items. And of course, the world is packed with deals - making it nearly impossible to resist those iconic McDonald’s burgers.
